As our community service project at this year's Blue + Gold Banquet, we will assemble care packages for our heroes abroad: our troops fighting for America's freedom. Please prepare for this activity:
Talk to your Scout about the importance of military service.
Have your Scout write a thank you note to be included in a care package. Be sure to reference Cub Scout Pack 951 in Chatham County, NC - beyond that, use good judgment in how much personal info your Scout shares.
Purchase items for the care packages from this list of care package items needed. If possible, please bring at least one item from each category on the list, making sure that the package is single-serving or travel-sized (wherever possible).
Bring your thank you note and care package items with you to Blue + Gold where we will assemble care packages together as a team.
